Children's Privacy

TipTap Games is a mixed-audience service. Games appeal across a wide range of ages and we recognise that children may be drawn to the site, but children are not our intended or primary audience and we do not direct the service to them.

Playing requires no account. The entire feed is open, and there is no age requirement to play a game.

Creating an account has a minimum age of 13 — 16 in the European Economic Area, where a higher age of digital consent applies under Article 8 of the GDPR. Before an account can be created we ask for your date of birth on a neutral screen. We use it once, to decide whether the minimum is met, and then discard it. We record only that the check was passed and which minimum applied. The date of birth itself is never stored.

If you tell us you are below the minimum age, we stop keeping anything about you. No account is created, and from that point your browser is given no lasting identifier: we delete the device identifier we had, stop issuing one, and store no scores, likes, saves or history against you. You can still play everything. Anonymous, aggregate records that a game was played — carrying no account, device or session identifier — may still be counted so creators can see how their games perform.

We never serve behavioural or targeted advertising, we never sell or share personal information, and we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own purposes. Games run in a sealed sandbox with no network access, so a game cannot collect anything about the person playing it.

Parents and guardians: if you believe a child has created an account or that we hold personal information about a child, email [email protected]. You may ask us to confirm what we hold, to delete it, and to stop any further collection. We act on these requests within 30 days and do not require you to create an account to make one. We will ask only for enough information to locate the account — typically the email address or profile link — and nothing more.
